A new treatment for trauma is offering hope to victims and witnesses of sexual abuse, bullying and accidents. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy was first developed in the USA and brought to Britain in 1991 by Dr John Spector, a clinical psychologist at Watford General Hospital.
